I’m a feminist, but I think that romance has been taken away a bit for my generation. I think what people connect with in novels is this idea of an overpowering, encompassing love - and it being more important and special than anything and everything else.
Emma is so right. But her view is very feminine. She is expressing what women want and can feel but men can only faintly. If a man transitions it is because he is aware of the love that she describes but knows he cannot experience it until he has shed his manhood and released the girl within him. Only when he becomes she can she know the love only women know. And the reason she does is because she was a she all along.
